Our cabin, nestled on the edge of the developing woodland and adjoining Christmas Tree Farm, is the perfect woodland retreat. The wooden framed and clad building is packed with sheep wool insulation to keep you snug and large windows flood the open plan kitchen, dining and living area with light and frame great views.

As you step onto the deck that runs along the front of your cabin, it is time to relax… French doors invite you straight into your living area. Here you will find a leather sofa and chairs grouped around the woodburning stove, set on a slate hearth. Cwtsh up with a book or pull up the small table and enjoy some of the board or card games, Relaxing Log Cabin In UK.

In the dining area, the painted farmhouse table with chairs and settle is the perfect place to chat over a lazy breakfast and plan your day using the maps and guide books.  Your kitchen area includes an under counter refrigerator with freezer compartment, a gas cooker with grill and oven and a traditional ceramic Belfast sink set into a solid beech block worktop. Crockery, cutlery, utensils, saucepans, and kettle are all provided. If you prefer to eat al fresco, there is a picnic table just outside the cabin and BBQ tools are provided so you can cook over your fire pit. Or sit on the logs and build a campfire to keep you warm as you enjoy the peace and quiet of the evening.

From the living area, doors lead to the shower room and bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a double (5’) bed and the other has two single (3’) beds. All of the beds have goose feather and down duvets enticing you to snuggle down at the end of the day.

The shower room is equipped with a modern, flushing toilet, wash basin and shower cubicle. Hot water is provided by a gas boiler.

Electrical power to the cabin is supplied by solar panels. There are no 13 amp sockets in the cabin, although there is a USB port in the kitchen that can be used to charge a mobile phone or ipad / tablet. Keep an eye on the battery monitor on the living room wall to check your power usage – remember to turn off lights if they are not needed – otherwise you might find yourself having to resort to the emergency torch!  The torch will also come in handy if you are out and about, returning after dark to your cabin and the motion activated wall lantern will guide you to the door.
